- Note to self: When referring to your boss as a "Slave Driver", make sure you're not talking to a black person. Actually, just don't do it at all.
- This weekend I went to a Storm hockey game and met the most recognizable brothers in Hockey. And by brothers, I mean biological brothers. Still feeling stupid about what I said above.
- New Rule: All Senators from Massachusetts are hereby forbidden to speak in public, drive women home from parties, or vacation at their Florida estates with their nephews.
- Bought a Mac mini this weekend. Beats the pants off my old Athlon 2600 and there's 98% less spiders inside the case.
- My sister was complaining that she doesn't have any silverware in her dorm room. She's getting this for her birthday.
- We need another four day week, preferably in between MLK Day & Memorial Day (Presidents Day is floated for me), and I think I've found the answer: César Chávez Day, March 31st-ish.
- Baked potato day at the cafeteria. Mmmm.
- Bluehost.com seems pretty good so far. They actually called to see if I had any questions, which is something my old hosting service from Swaziland never did.
- November will be fun at work. I'm working a couple of double shifts during a major system rollout. In to work at Midnight, out at 5PM.
- Handbreak is the iPod application I've been missing. By the end of the week, I'll have every Sealab episode on my iPod.
- I went to the DMV yesterday at lunch and got through the line with time to spare. Score!
- The Boss denied my requested three days off after Christmas. He'll change his tune when I rack up four weeks and they have to start paying me each pay period for the accrued vacation time at the overtime rate. I'm already at three weeks.
- Speaking of that, I'm near my limit of sick time, too. An extra paycheck at the end of the year will be nice.
- I still don't understand how our IT department is in the union.
- I was looking at tickets for VIARail from Windsor to Toronto and saw something I've never seen on Amtrak's site: There were sold out.
- Not that it matters anyways, my time off was denied.
- No, I'm not bitter about that at all. Nope, not bitter that the first days off I've asked for in nine months were denied when we have absolutely nothing scheduled for that time. Not a bit.
