No, not in the Tubgirl kind of way. I mean that it can actually be a great way to spread information despite a government blackout. For example: Liveblogging a coup d'état.

I got an email back from J3, who is currently holed up in the bar of a hotel in Chiang Mai. He said it's hard to judge what is going on in Bangkok considering the TV stations are off air. Everyone is sitting around the hotel bar, speculating on what has happened and what will happen tomorrow. J3 is supposed to fly out of Bangkok on Friday, so he's currently trying to find a flight out of Chiang Mai to Tokyo to avoid that whole mess.

In case anyone's interested, the expats at Thaivisa.com are discussing the coup. The prevailing feeling is that things should be back to normal soon.
